1. Dog sitter

Dog sitting is extremely popular as people will always need someone to care for their fur friend when they aren’t around, making it a great side career that could become your full time job. I’ve been dog sitting for around 3 years now, created my own business and earnt over £7k so far with just 30 clients and very little effort. General duties include walking, feeding, cuddling and playing with their dog either at your own home or theirs. Its one of the easiest business’ to start and comes with great benefits such as company for yourself too!. 

To start out use websites like Rover, Holidog and GuDog to advertise your services, get clients and then you could move on to making your own business!. The great benefit of these websites is that they are free to sign up and advertise (the customers pay the site to find you), you set your own rates and you have complete control over which assignments you want to accept. Most sites also cover you if anything was to happen during the stay but I highly recommend taking out your own insurance. I got mine through simply business for just £76 a year.

2. Delivery Driver 

Again this is one of the simplest jobs out there as each service usually has their own app that does almost everything for you. The basics of the job are accepting the job, picking up food or other items, delivering the items to someones house and then back home or onto the next job!. For the last 3 months of the pandemic I’ve been using Beelivery, Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat and have already earnt an extra £300.

Now is thee time to start the career of your dreams. We have more online resources now than we ever have and you can find and sign up for a course on literally anything in minutes. I’ve recently started a course on interior design and I plan to make a business out of it one day, I recommend you do the same. Everyone has something they have always wanted to do so why not now, we have much more free time, resources and it will 100% be worth it in the long run.
